The Whitehorse Sustainability Plan is embodied in a set of 12 goals that describe what the community wants to achieve in the long term. The goals are relevant to everyone, and we all have a role to play in achieving them. The 12 goals include livable neighbourhoods, low-impact transportation, healthy environment and wilderness, green buildings and infrastructure, energy and Greenhouse Gas reduction, diverse culture, social equity: affordable housing and poverty reduction, engaged community, healthy community, diverse local economy, zero waste, and accessible and resillient food systems.
